Help with harness training B&G macaw 8 months old.

Im having the hardest time training him to wear his harness. i can touch my bird eeverywhere with my hands. As soon as he sees the harness he freaks out and starts flapping his wings i have no idea where to start again.. please can someone help??

Do u think the xl or l for a blue and gold macaw? Thanks for all the help.

I use the large on most of my macaws. Both my BG are in the large size.

Truthfully it's not the easiest harness to get on them. It actually takes practice for most birds. I found the feather tether to be easier but I felt the aviator is safer. My birds are so flighted that the extra work was worth it.
