So someone in other group found this parrot looks like some type of conure?
im trying to help finding its owners as this bird likes cuddling it’s not wild it was found on a busy road. Several people in the group are telling them to please look for the owners. A9BBD4C1-23E7-441D-B8AE-2B95EC9EB57E.png

Yes just posted it there are more pictures. But I think the correct thing is to look for it’s owners they seem like they are pretending to be its owners so I hope real owner contacts them through FB.

Might be a green parakeet (also called Green Conure).

They are a small wild parrot species native to Mexico and Central America. The natural range of the green parakeet extends to southern parts of Texas, where the bird was found. McAllen is located very close to the Mexican border.

It could be a green conure that was kept as a pet. Or a wild parrot that had positive contact with people during its life. Wild parrots, like any wild animal, tend to avoid people, but they also learn quickly and can be tamed.

Considering that it acts tame, I certainly think the first step should be looking for its former owner. If they can't be found, I see nothing wrong with giving the bird a new home.
