At first I was allowed to have a conure, but then my parents said no because of traveling. We have two dogs and a pair of budgies. My dad said we won't be able to travel with another bird. How do you travel with many pets?? Please help, I'm very far from where I can get a conure and we are going there. Trips there are very rare and we only go if necessary

I leave most of my animals home and have someone take care of them if we travel. Sometimes even though we want something it's not always the best time. 3 years ago I really wanted a pet snake and we were all ready to bring one home...and then things happened and it no longer made sense to go through with it. I don't know when it will happen now, if ever.

I hate leaving my birds, but sometimes you have to if you want to travel

For a lot of pets leaving them behind with good care is better than taking them with. Some get really stressed out being away from home, and there are a lot more variables you can't control.

I know, I just can't imagine the risk of taking them with me. Theyde probably get out. I remember quierido my birdie got outside once and I was in hysterics. I got him back, and now o don't even let them out of my room

We have family take care of our animals if we have to go out of town.

Most of the vets in my area do boarding as well. That may be a good option if you have an avian vet you trust in your area. Not sure on what the cost of boarding is but it might be an option you could look into.
