I have already called and left a message with the vet. Our Goffin's cockatoo is 16 years old, a male. We are his fourth and final home. We have had him since December. This morning he bobbed his head slowly in and out a couple of times and then leaned over his food dish. He appeared to be eating from that dish. I looked and saw a partially digested ball of food. He is now eating his chop. Is this vomit or hormonal regurgitation?

Vomit usually involves shaking the head. It looks like they are not in control of the situation.

Regurgitation is a lot more purposeful looking. Based on your description, I would guess regurgitating.

It sounds like regurgitating to me too based on the description.
