Does his poop look right? I noticed these after I cleaned his paper. 2 are from the floor and 1 from the paper in his cage.
Thank you in advance, I'm just slightly freaking out!
Yes, blue front. I'm a bit worried! He's eating fine, acting fine. We had our first cold night last night and had to move his cage and of course he had a night fright. I'm wondering if stress could be the reason.
Watch it for 24 hours, if in doubt, get it checked out..is he eaten anything not that he usually eats? Stress is a factor, only you know him...hope its nothing serious.
His regular avian vet passed away. I found out when I was trying to make his wellness visit appointment. There is another vet in town that sees birds but I dont think they have seen many. The next avian vet is 2 hrs away and a bit pricey. Otherwise I would just head right in to the vet.
He always gets a variety of foods but he hasn't had anything that he hasnt eaten before.
@tka He has access to ZuPreem fruitblend all day no matter what. he also gets fresh fruits and veggies etc. He does not get any seeds of any kind but does get some nuts he can work on.
I don't know what is normal for your bird, nor can take a closer look at the urates, or press on the feces to examine further. If they look concerning to you, then a vet visit is never a bad thing. I'd look at the information next to the renal photo in my first post to see if that seems close, especially since he is older.
Poop can tell us a lot but it is only part of the equation.
