I have a female peach fronted conure and she keeps laying eggs, she has laid 6 eggs already this year, she plucked her feathers out and looks awful, she has never had a mate and I don't know what to do for her, can someone give me some advice, and if anyone close has a male she would be a good breeder.

How old is your girl? We need you to fill us in with quite a bit of information so we can help. What is her current diet with a complete list as well as brand names. How big is her cage and where is it located. Do you provide an overhead light source for her? How long have you had her, is she easily handled? Any other information would be helpful.

With all due respect, a plucker and chronic layer would actually make a terrible breeder. Those traits don't need to be passed on.

hello maybe she would benefit from living with a friend? i think you can prevent them laying eggs, it’smon google.. it might be stressing her out if she is -lucking her fewthers! she sounds upset.. i hope everything works out for her

It would be really great if you could give more information or answer the questions asked by Mockinbirdiva so that some easy changes can be suggested to help your poor girl.
She’s not an ideal candidate for breeding but she’s your buddy and she can have a much healthier and more comfortable life with a few changes to diet, environment etc.
