Hi! I just joined a few days ago, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
My name's Ayah and I have 5 parrots!
Pico and pinkie (green cheeks)
Berdly and Sunny (rosy faced lovebirds)
Baby chick (rosy faced lovebird)
I got Berdly and Sunny from a pet store which I honestly regret doing, since I don't want to buy from breeders. There are so many parrots that need homes, so when I wanted to adopt 2 more, I went to an adoption site where there were tons of birds in need of new homes. I adopted Pico and Pinkie from a young couple who didn't have the time for them. When Berdly layed eggs I freaked out and I knew I had to get fake ones, but it took me a while to find them at a pet store. When I found them and tried to replace them I candled the eggs and found one almost ready to hatch and I couldn't get myself to kill it. I honestly wish I did though, 'cause I've been so anxious ever since it hatched. I even bought a camera to look inside the nest when I'm gone. Thank God the moms doing a good job or else I'd be screwed. I am in no way an experienced breeder and would never ever consider doing this again. I left the chick with it's mom, but if I see any signs of neglect I'll look into bird rescues.
