Meeting neighbors
Hi everyone,
I have been reading some of the threads as a guest for a while so I thought I'd join up. My name is Emily and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I currently work in a pet supplies store and volunteer at a bird rescue. I love all animals but especially birds.
I have two adopted parrots, a male Cockatiel named Griffin who is 2+ years old and a female Indian Ringneck named Siren (age we are unsure of) who has just joined our flock 2 weeks ago. Prior to Siren, we adopted a female Budgerigar who we named Harpy but unfortunately she passed away after a week of having her due to crop impaction confirmed by an avian vet (caused by a rope toy at her previous home - she was dumped at my work by a customer).
Besides the birds, my partner and I share our home with a betta fish named Moonstone, who shares his tank with some snails, and two goldfish; an oranda named Marble and a ranchu named Nemoy who share a big tank together. We'd also like to adopt a dog one day in the future when the timing is better.
I am looking forward to learning more and getting to know everyone.
