That's upsetting. I think hedgehogs are lovely, but sadly they're illegal where I'm at.

Wow... I had no idea they did that. Some animals will do that when they feel their babies are threatened but I would never have imagined Hedge hogs doing it.

Hamsters do it too,
My breeder says she's an experienced momma and she's never done it before, they're going to have a vet check her out to see if it was a problem or just something random.
