Hi there :) I have two cockatiels. I've been told that they are a cinnamon pied (Starfire, 3 months old) and a lutino pied (Moonbeam, 2 months). I do not have them sexed but I thought Starfire was female and moonbeam was male. However, Starfire has been giving Moonbeam heartshaped wings and singing at him.. Does this mean Star is a boy? and why after that would she bite or peck at him when she gets close enough?

Thanks for any info you can give me :)

Sounds like you have a boy!!!!

Heart wings and singing aren't always just for attracting a mate, Jeff does the same, he gets Mabel all hot and bothered with his singing then gets irritated if she's too close and cuddly! Sometimes he just does it because he's feeling happy.
