You can get some eggfood and mix it with pastina. Change the mixture 2x a day. You can add some seed to it too. Just put the food into dishes on the floor of the cage. I raised finches and this is a good caloric mix and the eggfood is good for protein. . Also put water dises on the floor of the cage to. Romaine lettuce to peck on is also another thing you can add. Good luck and good job for taking him in.
