Hi I have been put in touch with a breeder who might have the above species about the time I'm looking to get a parrot and she's comming highly recommended and happy for people to visit the birds before buying and seeing set up so feel like a good person if a lot dearer than I have seen else where but I prefer to know it's truly uk bread and well socialized.
I would love to hear from anyone with these types of Amazons from what I have read they are ment to be a little more relaxed species .

I answered in the private message.
Here is a pic of my green monster (not so monstrous really).
He was eating berries, excuse the messy beak. :)

I love to make Solomon's eyes flash. It's not always bad news, but I am careful when they start.
His get to flashing when he's excited. He loves to sing and will flash and flare while we sing together.

I'm glad someone's still raising mealies. They are one of my all-time favorite parrots. Who's the breeder???

So I answered your PM but I'll say it here too, Sammy is super laid back and gentle. He (Found out he's a HE with a DNA test), is independent but also wants one on one attention from me every day. (usual bird behavior). I don't have experience with other amazon species but I would say LCA's are definitely one of my favorites. Sammy is my heart bird.

Mealys are the best, as are Orange Wingeds.

Generally, very mellow birds, but, that can also be BORING for many people.

i prefer a little bit more of a nut.
