Has anyone harness trained their Linnie?
And by that I mean, “Has anyone gotten their Linnie to tolerate a harness so that it will sit on your shoulder and go for a walk outside?”

I picked up an appropriately sized Aviator Harness with the intention of trying to get my Linnie used to it for some warmer weather walks.

I’m just curious what kind of success others have had.

Hi there!

From what I can tell, there’s only really one person that’s harness trained their Linnie and actually posted their story on the Internet.
It’s not much but it means that someone has succeeded twice! (Once for each Linnie he talks about in his post)
This is probably true for all birds but it’ll take time and patience, and starting them young will most likely make your job easier.

Here’s the link:

Thanks!

The breeder has some harnesses as well and she’ll start the desensitization early, so at least that’s a head start
