Today marks 7 years since I brought Quack home and her assumed 17th hatchday. Here are a couple of recent videos of her. The 1st she’s not doing much but I wanted to show her red feathers. I love my Quacky Quackster! :heart:

And I should note - I actually have kind of a deep voice but talk to Quack in an animated high voice. In the early days with her, I got bit talking in my regular voice, so to make sure she doesn't think I'm mad, I overdo it with her. :p I seem to talk to all the girls in a higher voice than to Darwin, for some reason. Sex-type stereotyping at its finest! :lol:

I love Quack's eyes. There's just something so pure about them.

P.S. Don't feel too bad... I can't tell you how many years I've been doing this, but I give every pet a "voice" and kinda act out interactions as they happen, as if we're conversing. One of my cousins caught me doing voices for my dogs and I never realized what I was doing till he pointed it out. :ashamed2: Never been more embarrassed in my life.

Yeah, my brother makes fun of me for it. But I've been talking like that to my animals for so long I don't even realize I'm doing it. My bf thought it was cute when we started dating so I guess it's ok. :lol:

But you can't talk to animals with your normal voice. And the younger the animals are you sounds more and more silly. :D
(But I don't care what people think about it, if they will laugh, it's fine. I just tell them that I can eat a lot of ice cream without getting fat and that often makes them shout their mouth.. :smuggrin: )
