Pictures Hank, Jasper and I ......

...will be hitting the road for the winter soon. Thanks to some very kind and thoughtful people, Hank will have a special place with Jasper this year. My bedroom has twin beds and the feather painting is above the bed across from the one I sleep where I can see it all of the time.

Nowhere very exciting this year. Just going to S. AZ and staying at a RV park that is 10 miles from the nearest town and in some of the most beautiful Sonoran type desert.
The days of doing lots of moving around are over with gas prices and 6.5 mpg, besides which it isn't as easy for me to set up and break down any more.

Those are great pictures! If you run across a teenie tiny cactus that is soft to touch... grab it. I killed my son's petting cactus. It said not to water often.

Uhhh. I'm a 5th generation Arizonan and I learned a long time ago not to "grab" a cactus.

That's your or anyone's spare bed - but you will have to come to AZ to sleep in it. I don't do snow and cold - that's why I go South every winter.

PS - They really mean don't water much. Don't feel bad no one can keep one of those house cactus alive.

The painting is a beautiful tribute!

I'd invite you to visit me in Ohio, but it's pretty miserable here in the winter. Windiest county in the state and flat as a pancake! Nothing between me and that cold wind but maybe a strand of barbed wire fence, lol! No salting the roads and the plow doesn't visit that often.

The wood burner is nice and cozy though and I have enough parrots to pass around to cuddle with
