No, I stole them from my neighbours

Yes they are mine. Left is a red rump, then middle (obviously) budgie and then finally zebra finch. It was a great picture because they are in the right order of size!
They’re so adorable!

Great! Please post pictures! We ❤ pictures!
Pictures, you say? I can give you pictures. :D

These are the "raw" branches, straight from the box.

Here are some of the branches after I trimmed them down a bit to remove dead wood and tiny branches.

This is largest branch (48") after it was trimmed, shaped, disinfected, and mounted in my aviary.

And here is one of the branches covered with finches:

Well ... since you insist. I might have a few more.

And here is a brief visual tutorial on how I mounted the branches to the back wall.

20200622_105345.jpg

I used a 1x3 board, cut into 3x3 squares and anchored with two inch screws to wall-mount the perches. I am housing finches and parakeets, so the majority of the weight comes from the branch. Use beefier hardware if you are doing larger branches for bigger birds.

20200622_105410.jpg

Pre-drilled so the branch does not split.

20200622_105427.jpg

A longer or thicker screw might be used for a bigger branch, but be sure to drill straight in.

Ready to mount.

Another perch done, ready for birds!

I keep striking out with the ss chain. Going in the right direction but seriously overkill for hanging bird furniture.
That’s 3 orders of chain over two weeks. :wacky:

If you had asked me, saroj, somewhere I have a chart with size of chain and corresponding bird species.

But I think for you at least part of the fun is ordering stuff.

@Destiny thanks for the very useful tutorial but I'm thinking if you'd just come over here and do it for me it'd be better.

Hehe, nice try. ;)

Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can. My wood-working and power tool-using skills are practically non-existent. If I can't do it will a hammer or a power drill, I am lost.
