Hand Taming--Next Steps

My lovebird is getting more comfortable being around me and sitting on my hand, but only when I have millet. I'm wondering how to succesfully phase out the millet so he eventually likes hanging out with me without treats. Thank you in advance!

My birds like to cilmb on me and play with small things. Mini bird bagels, o-rings with beads on, other little fiddly things to beak.

They do like to hang out on me after playing to have a nap. And also after bathing to rub themselves dry on me and then hang out for a short time,.
