Hand raised Bourke

Hello All,

I live in Western Australia and I am very keen on getting a Bourke parakeet. I was after a hand raised Bourke which has proved to be very difficult.
Any suggestions?

I have Bourkes and I’m currently looking for another to pair with my odd one out. I prefer to rescue or adopt and I do find them difficult to come across at all, let alone hand raised ones.
Even breeders seem few and far between around me.

However if you find one that isn’t hand raised, I do find they are similar to budgies in terms of training or just getting used to you as a companion. With consistency it’s not a lot of work. Mine are all very quickly and easily won over with some millet.
