Hand feeding question

Yesterday my hen's first egg hatched and I plan to hand raise the chicks involving hand feeding them once they reach 2-3 weeks as the mother has been feeding her chick currently. To successfully tame the chicks is there a certain amount of times i'll need to feed them each day or will I be fully replacing the mother feeding?

Did you know you can tame the chick without doing the feeding?
It's another option :)
What species of bird?

I heard that you can tame them without hand feeding but people are saying it was harder haha but if I have to I wouldn't mind doing it that way. Also the birds are budgies

Beautiful birds.

Do you know how to hand feed? If not, then don't do it at all.

If you know how to hand feed and have been shown in person by someone experienced (not just watching online videos), then you would be taking the chicks to rear. This includes the full weaning process too.
