Hair on millet stick main branch?

Hello again! Just bought some new packs of millet and I noticed some millet sticks have this white hair on the main branch that millets grow from. Is this normal? Some millet branches do, some millet branches don't have this little white fuzz-hair thing and I am utterly confused.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen that much fuzz and I’ve never seen it on the main stem, just seen hairs on the tips of the seeds but I don’t buy it often at all. @Mizzely

What is its smell like? Could it possibly be mould?

I've not seen my Millet have that hairy stalk; it's usually a thin "branch" running through the middle, but the ends can have some "hairs" running through them.

I would probably contact the manufacturer and ask their opinion.

It doesn't smell like anything.
