Had to leave my boy

I had to unexpectedly leave my home and all my commitments to look after my very poorly dad who lives far away. I initially took my boy, Joe, but given my dad's health issues I was worried the dust and because he's going through his First molt (hence why he's looking very scruffy) I decided to take him back home.

He is being fed etc and getting interaction but he isn't getting out of his cage much, this is hopefully only for a few weeks

Anyway, I've been away from him for 5 days and this was him when I managed got to spend a few hours with him. He really cheered me up through this very stressful time of caring for my dad and being away from home.

Thank you. He's always been cute but was extra special when I saw him, he's also never attacked me but he was when trying to get him on my hand. He wasn't hurting though, probably his way of saying he wants to stay close as he's missed me

Such a hard decision, but sounds like the right one. So glad someone could care for him for you, and you didn't have to part with him!

Sorry to hear about the tough time in your family. I know it must be hard taking care of your dad and being away from your buddy. In my experience, tiels are pretty forgiving so he will be OK even if he is upset when you return.
