Had a scare with Bailey today

So I was working on a paper with Bailey on my chest. After a while, he is still. He was lying there with his legs under him. I thought that he was dead. I have never seen a tiel do that but he was breathing and when i nudged him, he woke up right away. Everyday, I learn something new about him. He is still not strong enough to perch which I think that it is why he does that. But seeing him like that was scary.

Loafing seems to be an individual behavior. Pattie (pictured above) is 9 years old and still enjoys it.

I'm so thankful for this community. When we have a scare with one of our birds, there's always someone to post a pic or a story and tell us it's all right & (at least somewhat) normal.
