i doubt this is the proper place for this thread, i really didnt see a good spot for it. talked with MIL and FIL last night, they are going to guatemala in May/April, and want to pay for me to go! :dance4:

i would just die to see a quetzal :geek:

there are many various ruins, beaches, volcanoes to explore :D

but what about parrots? does anyone know about places there to look for parrots? :)

it would be for 1 week, and not till spring, but seems like a good idea to start planning my to-do-list :laughing12:

well the fam lives in guatemala city. let me go check out a map.
i believe lake atitlan is a family favorite, but they said also that many fun spots will not be far away.
as far as weather, i need to check for sure. i am quite sensitive to the sun to the point of hives. if its too sunny, i may have to end up looking like dr moreu to go outside! :grumpy:
