My pets shops advice me to give my linnies grit. However been looking around on the internet and saw alot op people saying you shouldn't feed them grit.

Do you feed your linnies grit?

Parrots do not need grit. In fact, it can be harmful to them.

My AV said to steer clear of it so I have done.
I can not for the life of me understand why so many products have it in them nor why it is continued to be pushed by food companies and pet stores etc when they know it can be harmful to birds

Someone needs to educate those pet shop people so they do not pass on incorrect information to other customers.
