Grey parrot - Ottawa, ON

One of the students at my twin’s school just plucked a friendly, hand tame grey parrot off the play structure. Proof of ownership will be required. Bird is apparently lovely. Not seen a pic but told it’s a grey parrot. Parrot rescue info being shared with family. People aren’t bird people but have stepped up.

Looks like a cockatiel to me, but I can’t tell for sure due to back shot. Long tail is a clue maybe. Can anyone confirm?! Zoomed to block out kids & school logo.

I know the cage is bad; so do they. They scrounged what they could & are trying to find the owner. If confirmed to be a cockatiel, there is a local list ad!

Yep! Looks like a pearl tiel.
I can see the outline of its crest as it’s darker gray.

A gray bird with white is not an African grey. I agree it could be a tiel.

The cockatiel has been reunited with her owner! She’d flown over the Ottawa River, which is no joke.
