Meloncita is a two year old female conure. She is snuggly and calm but does need a lot to keep her occupied. She is aggressive towards children, but quite sweet around adults that work with bonding with her. She is tame and must have someone who wants to spend a lot of personal time with her. She is a 'sassy' bird meaning she's very inclined to have her own way. She loves to bath, loves scritches, and her favorite snack is fruit in general. She doesn't know any tricks besides making kissing sounds with you. She likes to be active in everything you do. A less busy household would be better for her. She picks and chooses which birds she likes. There is no guarantee on which birds she will get along with. Typically she doesn't like any bird until she gets use to him/her more. Her diet consists of zupreem natural pellets and vegetables. (She's not picky at all). She comes with a large flight cage, a bag of food and I will have some perches and toys to go with her. There is a rehoming fee. I am located in the midwest US.

So sorry to hear that you have to rehome her. I hope you'll be able to find her a wonderful home.

I live in the upper midwest, have the time space and patience for another bird. My conure hasn’t been kept in a cage me(previous owner said he couldn’t be caged and attacked their kid) no kids here and I didn’t have any problems with him trying to escape an easily escapable cage locked in a bedroom when we had to leave him home alone for short periods of time. We did some remodeling and he lives cage free now.
Does your bird have a preference between male and female humans?
I have a 1 yr old male conure that likes men. So I can’t get another one that will prefer my husband’s shoulder even though I spend all the time cleaning feeding and training lol.
