I am concerned about my jessie my 30 year old African gray. She seems to be shaking today . There is only one avian vet that is less than an hour away and that one can’t give me an appt for jessie until April 18 . I don’t know if jessie is moulting I actually thought that she had a month ago but now I see a lot of small gray feathers at the bottom of her cage also a couple of orange ones . I noticed that she is shaking a lot which concerns me . She is returning my whistles like she always does , eating her bananas and vegetables and food but I’m worried about the shaking that comes and goes , she also seems to be stretching her wings and legs often . I’m concerned and don’t know what to do . Do grays shake when the moult?

Is it head shaking or whole body? Some possible reasons for a grey to shake are
excitement, airing out feathers, fear or nervousness, food stuck in esophagus, contentment or feeling itchy from parasites.

What kind of shaking? Change in behavior? My grey never shook when molting.
