What’s a good way to do granola that is also bird safe?

Obviously no raisins, but it has to be sweetened with something. Honey? Maple syrup? Are dried cherries OK? What about dried apricots?

I have not seen granola for years! Can I ask why you say obviously no raisins?

this makes me think that maybe what you call granola and what I call Granola are two different things...

when it comes to sweetening it though what can I use? I don’t like it really sweet so I don’t use sugar, I usually use either honey or maple syrup.

Raisins are not toxic at all, high in sugars but not toxic, raisins are the same as sultanas but a different kind of grape is used.

Haven't made any in years...
I think I used to use honey - sometimes maple syrup if I had the real stuff - and coconut oil.

Sometimes I would add apple sauce or peanut butter for a different texture.

I preferred nuts in the granola.

Casey likes dried fruit - if it doesn't have added sugar, oil, or preservatives- he gets some.
