Goodbye is never easy

My heart is so broken today I had to have my African Grey Lulu put to sleep. She had a mass growing in her abdomen. Lulu was my moms bird who I brought home while my Mom was in hospice. Lulu stayed with me long enough to see me through one of the toughest times in life. Thank you Lulu Doo doo I am so thankful for the love and the time we shared together

It's never ever easy. Sorry for your loss.
When one of my greys went at beginning of year,
I still held him for a couple hours to say goodbye after he went. He was old, but still, it's not at all easy.
