I have my green cheek conure on ZuPreem Natural Nut Blend and many people on the avenue have recommended something else. (It's smelly, [insert brand here] is better, my conure has [insert brand], I recommend it)
I want something that's not really pricey, unlike Harrisons, but good enough quality that my bird and I will love it. Does anyone have reccomendations?

Roudybush, Tropican are both good pellets. Harrison's IMO is the very best, and one little GCC can't eat much, if he is getting other foods.

Here us a listing of many pellets. You should find one without dyes or sugar.
Pellets for Parrots

Keep all but a week's worth of pellets in the freezer to keep it fresh.

Ok I like the price and ingredients in Tropica and Rowdybush...it’s down to the final decision.

I feed Roudybush, and Salem likes it! I've never tried Harrison's or Tropican before.

I like Tropican but it can be difficult to find sometimes here in the states. That's honestly my biggest gripe about it. Roudybush is generally easier to find :) Both are good brands. Roudybush has sent me samples in the past; Hagen I do not believe does samples anymore.

Burt loves Roudybush but I can never find it so he gets other pellets instead. If I could regularly get Roudybush he’d still be on that.

Ok rowdy bush it is! I have chewy subscriptions for our dogs and it’s on Chewy so I can buy it with the dog food!

Quick question—how many cups should I feed my bird and how long would it take him to finish the 10 pound bag? (If my calculations are right, it’s 1.75?? Per pound, and I don’t want to pay that every two months like I did with my Zupreem except with 20$ For a 3.25 pound bag..)

You will likely go through about a 1 to 1.5 pounds a month of pellets for a green cheek. They eat 10 to 20% of their body weight a day, so even if they are eating only pellets, there is no way they will be eating 5 lbs a month.

I don't even go through 2 lbs a month for Jardine's who is on a mostly pellet diet. He eats about 1/4 cup of pellets a day and is in the 210g area. My green cheek ate 1 to 2 tbsp of pellets a day.

Ah, my bird eats two “quarter cup scoops” for his food. I use the cup that came with his travel cage that didn’t fit in the rim...would this be ok for him?

Each bird is different. It's really hard for me to understand how much food is in that photo.

I second lafebers. My conure loved them and refused anything else. I found them being discontinued at my local petco 5lbs for $7... so I bought them out. They're normally $24 for 5lbs
