Gigi told me she saw her cage on TV

Yesterday I had Property Brothers on TV. I was busy when Gigi contact called me repeatedly. I looked up just in time to see the brothers wheeling Gigi's exact same King's cage in the pet store to see if it moved well. OK maybe she didn't recognize her cage but she sure knew it was a bird cage being moved, just like I do twice daily. At the end of the episode we met the cockatiel that will live in the cage. He flew all around and landed on one of the Property Brothers shoulder. Super cute. The family all seemed tickled by him.

It's amazing how much our birds can communicate with us. Gigi tells me many things all day long with different vocalizations. From another room I often know what she is doing or telling me. I don't think the average non bird owner would believe it.

"Please slant the blinds, the sun is shining right on me!" has a very specific call.
