What size are the discs John ? Would my conures chew a softwood would you think ? I was thinking hardwood as it would last a long time...

They're between 4 and 5 inches. Softwood is chewable but they're pretty beefy disks (you'll just have to buy more once he whittles it away ) The hardwood ones are indestructible. cockatoo grade.
