GETTING INFO FROM LEG BAND

I was wondering if anyone could give me any info on this bird based off of its leg band. Its band is different than the other ones I've seen. What does DF stand for? Why is there no hatch year on his band? FL I'm assuming means he was from Florida. Someone told me he could possibly have been an imported bird, but I thought that was banned in like the early 1990's so that would make this bird way older than 17 (which is what the previous owners said he was)

Not all breeders have enough volume to justify buying bands every year, so they just get their aviary designation, state, and an ID number that they would use for their records and keeping chicks identified.

So yours is an aviary that goes by DF, in Florida, and didn't buy yearly bands.

Doesn't look like an import band based on the shape and the letters/numbers. Doubt that he is imported.
