Oh Gosh.. I'm so sorry. Bless her little heart! Free of her disabilities she will fly high and free. I hope Squeak will settle in the days to come.

I really feel for Squeak as this is the first time he has ever been alone and he looks so tiny in that cage all on his own :(
I'm so sorry! I hope little Squeak will be okay with extra attention from Mommy. Sending huge hugs. :sadhug2:

Sorry for your loss. :sorrow:

It has been quite a while since the OP. How is Squeak doing? Has he settled?
Thank you for asking
Squeak has settled down and is now madly in love with a bell which he either has sitting nicely on top of his head or has his face jammed in it while he makes chitter chatter, he also spends a lot of time chatting to a big piece of some kind of shell he has.
He is much more relaxed now and has a lot of sparrows and fairy wrens that visit with him on the other side of the window which he has decided is a nice thing.

We have a friend who is looking for another budgie to put with his now alone little guy- when he finally gets some time off work he will likely come get Squeak and his belongings to take back home. Neither of us want our birds to live alone but I don’t wish to bring more little ones home and he doesn’t want to get a bird from a store..... he wants to rescue and had not been able to find a rescue. I joked and told him he was due for a visit and he could take Squeak back home as a friend for his little guy- turns out the joke is probably the best idea for both our birds.
