Has anyone used these?
Michael Graves Multi Multi-use Silicone Ties : Target
I picked some up at Target, and I can think of a million places I can use them, they take up less space than things like chip clips, they're reusable, so could replace zip ties in a lot of places, and I believe they're good to use in the freezer too.

Is silicone safe for parrots, if they chew it? I don't actually expect Bean to chew them, but I think they'd be useful to tie veggies up to the side of the cage. They're a bit stretchy, kind of like a hair tie, and they do pull loose, not terribly easily, but it's not difficult either. Thoughts?

Yeah, I have them here, and I'm not using them for anything yet, but I keep playing with them because they're stretchy  :p

If they are able to chew bits off like rubber they might swallow it.

Not something I'd let my birds chew on.

I use hemp string...dead cheap, safe, and I just cut it off and chuck it away after use, so each time the string is clean.
