Here are four of the food I give to my lovebirds which they simply just go "gaga" over it. 
1.Easy Food Cake Mix
Ingredients:
* Mashed Bananas
* Bird Seed
* Wild Rice
* Whole-Wheat Bread (cubed)
* Oats
Procedure:
* Just mash them up, go nuts!
2.Veggie Salad
Ingredients:
* Arugula Lettuce
* Romaine Lettuce
* Lettuce Spinach
* Diced Tomatoes
(actually any lettuce is fine except iceberg lettuce)
Procedure:
* Rip up all of the green or red leaves
* Combine all of them in their dish
* Make sure that different colors of the food
are peeking, so they'll take interest in it, and
hopefully won't choose favorites
(You could put applesauce as dressing)
3.Simple Seed Mix
Ingredients:
* Wild Rice
* Mustard Seed
* Bird Seed
* Grains
* Oats (whole, rolled, or Quaker is fine)
* Whole-Wheat Bread (diced)
Procedure
* Mix it all up in their food dish
4.Mash
Ingredients:
* Sprout (any legumes you got that can sprout is
fine, just make sure the tail is 1/4 inch long)
* Steamed Broccoli, Cauliflowers, Carrots, Peas
Zucchinis, you name it.
Procedure:
* After steaming, dice the Broccoli, Cauliflowers,
Carrots, and Zucchinis.
* Mash the Peas together with the Sprouts,
not mashed sprouts with peeking tails is fine.
* Add in the diced veggies and mix it all up.
* Add Applesauce or Water if sticky consistency
is not yet satisfactory.
These are just a few of the food I give my lovebirds that they simply love! And it's quite easy because you don't need cake mixes, or corn bread mixes which takes a lot of money and sometimes does not come out exactly as you want. And is perfect for anyone in the world who wants healthier birds. Bird Seeds and all the other seeds are very cheap and can be bought in your supermarket at the veggie section.
Your vegetables can come with your family veggies when you buy at the supermarket your groceries every weekend.
And the steaming only needs water and fire, plus the sprouts can be grown, it's exciting and fun!
