Today while we were having our evening tea at the dining room, I let inca out of his cage. He suddenly took a flight, all other rooms were dark, the dining space only having lights on... Inca flew to the dark master bedroom (he has an affinity for this room, I have noticed it before) and softly landed on the floor... I placed a play stand in front of him, switched on the lights and he happily sat on the stand... I never expected any bird can fly towards dark area. .. I mean doesn't' their vision get diminished in dark? Is it usual to fly towards the darkness just because it's familiar? Or, am I having an owl with green feathers!!

Very interesting. I too would expect parrots to be more attracted to the light. My Rocky is always drawn towards light, especially natural light. Maybe his affinity for the room overcame his fear of the dark?
