Flakey beak

I've noticed my ringneck's beak is starting to get flaky. Could he have some sort of vitamin deficiency, He was fed a seed mix since he was little as I'm still working with him to eat his pellets(tops), I've also started giving him chop with veggies

That's perfectly normal they shed thier beaks.
