Fisher Love bird

Hi my fisher is 5-6 weeks old. I am concerned about its weight he weighs 31g . what should I give him to increase his weight.as he looks underweight to me Doesn't cry for the feed so I have to feed him from a soft tube . I feed him formula 3 times a day around 5-6 cc. Though he is active and what should be the age weight in this age.

Is he eating other foods? Veggies, pellets, some seeds?

Just the formula you are giving isn't enough if he is not eating other foods too - and he is of the age to be in the progress of weaning onto adult foods.

31g is very light. Monitor as close as you can, be sure the crop never empties fully during the day and that he is well fed before bedtime. During the day, you will feed him everytime the crop is almost but not quite empty.

What formula are you feeding? A good quality formula will make a difference. I am loyal to Nutribird, but there are other good quality formulas too.

Today was the first day he ate banana, apple, boiled potatoes .Mostly he likes banana. Pallets are not available here. Seeds he chew them but don't eat .
Don't know the name of the formula it was given by the breeder though I believe that will be of good quality.
what weight the bird should be so I can monitor that?

Are you sure he is not eating them? No offence at all, the seeds get hulled and the bird eats the inside and drops the outer shells. So it may look like nibbling and chewing without eating but the shells are not edible. If you know that, I am sorry I obviously don't know you and just want to make sure

As for the fruit, go easier on fruits while he is weaning, feed more veggies like peppers and cooked sweet potatoes, carrots (mine prefered those steamed over raw).
Avoid high water content foods like celery, apples, iceberg lettuce, cucumbers. When he is older he can eat a little of those, but for now you want him to eat things that have less water.

Also, double check that your formula is not too thin. It should be nice and thick, heated up to 105F. Here are some posts with videos to watch;

Yes I know about the seed shells and i am sure that he is not eating. I think within 2 to 3 days he will be able crack the shell of the seeds.
I will add carrots and sweet potatoes to his diet .
