At dying wood for toys I tried a sample waiting for wood cutter machine thing to come so hubby can cut wood better for me
The blue ones are water and alcohol gel food colouring red ones are alcohol gel food colouring

Quite impressed with myself to say I have no creativity flare what so ever

Mine are same only exception to that rule is the smorgboard from nutz they prefer coloured 100%

I've never used alcohol gel so I don't know. I use liquid 70% isopropyl alcohol.

Black is a hard color. I actually stopped trying because people would get mad at me that it was more purple or grey depending on the batch. Not worth the headache!

I use alcohol gel for the pink and yellow and it took better just didn’t know if it was safe

I’ve just done this in isopropyl liquid
