Finally eating pellets

My only post here was me being a new mother for a 4 weeks old cockatiel, and today at, their 8 weeks, Jaime it's finally eating his first solid food on his own :3



Though Jaime gotta still learn to not bat its wings while near the food.

I have a concern, his feather on his chest are all stain by the formula and I been trying to clean them with a damp cloth, like I saw here on the forum, but I'm not sure if that's all that it needs to get cleaned or if I should do something else. Will the stains go away with time when Jaime starts taking baths? Jaime is kinda scared of water for now :/

Is your balcony closed off with netting?
If not, then I would refrain from taking your bird out there. Or put up some netting so your bird can enjoy the fresh air with you

Late answer, we were out of town.
The balcony is completly closed off, the whole thing is his play ground and goes in his cage for sleeping and eating time. We are also trying to see if he can live with our 2 lovebirds also, so he doesn't feel alone when there's no one at home.
I'm trying really hard with Jaime to give him all he needs and learning a lot about cockatiels.

he looks wonderful! as for the stains, see if he likes beeing sprayed with a spraybotle, or even a shower Do you know where the stains are from?
