Finally captured the mystery bird!

I finally captured shots of the mystery bird who soars by my balcony, eyeing up me & my dog! I think it’s a raptor. It lives in the building’s backyard, which is on the river.

These shots were really hard to get, but I hope someone can identify him! @April @expressmailtome

Based on the second and third images, it looks like a turkey vulture! They're the only species of vulture native to Canada. They are usually black, but in certain lighting can look brown. Very neat birds!

Agreed with Turkey vulture! We have them all over in Michigan :) (though we call them turkey buzzards).

I think you’re right! I thought the beak was orange, but that could be the head colouring interfering! They’re huge!

Yes definitely a Turkey Vulture! One of my favorite species,they are so under appreciated. Here's one of my fav Turkey Vulture pics I've gotten.

I always thought the beak was orange too until I looked up photos of them online!
