Coldest day of the year and I'm doing my best not to drive the electric bill into orbit so Team Green decide it's a great day to take a nice cold bath. Had to turn the heat up so they don't turn into Popsicles on me. I can hear my bank account whimpering.

Central PA temp is 20F with a windchill of 8F....yeah the furnace is practically running non-stop. Most of December was below normal temps here. Ice & snow on the ground. Spring can't come soon enough.

No kidding. I'm from central PA originally (SE PA now), and it's been colder than it's been in years. I'm not a huge winter person even when it's milder, so now I'm barely going outside.

Well I live in Tampa but it got down in the low 40's last night. Nothing like up north but still chilly.

One of my aunts moved from the Northeast to Boca Raton. She texts when it goes into the low 50s. I have been in the single digits with several nights below 0 with the windchill in the past 2 weeks alone. So, no offense, the low 40s sounds like a heat wave to me!

We visited family in St. Petersburg in December and they said they had a cold front that week. We were thrilled to be walking outside with a LIGHT WEIGHT JACKET! Our grandson was in the ocean and we were walking barefooted.

Of course, it amazes me when we're bundled up in Missouri and someone visits from up north.
