I've been trying to get a photo of these guys for months! Usually you hear them first and see a pair, trio or larger group arrowing across the sky. I finally got a photo of this one back in May but haven't taken photos off my phone until now (whoops). I've seen them on this feeder before but they usually fly off before I can get a photo. This one obliged me though. I can't see a ring so this is either a female or a juvenile male.

@Zara @Gen120 There are lots living in South West London especially. I see IRNs every day - honestly, it's a rare day when I don't see (or hear! they're loud!) at least one. If you ever find yourself in London and want to see them, head towards Richmond Park or Putney Lower Common - those are good places to spot them. They're an introduced species. The original birds were escapees - rumour has it that they escaped from a film set, but I think a fair number escaped from private collections, aviares and pet homes.

I also never saw ringnecks in the UK, but then again surely the poor sods aren't desperate enough to go to Yorkshire :laughin:

Hey we have got them im Istanbul! Theu are actually quite common, you can see flocks in the sky a couple of times a day if you know the sound to listen for!
