Just had a question about when female budgies’ cere change colour. Is there a certain age it’ll turn brown or can it happen anytime? Is common/normal for it to not happen for awhile?

It'll brown up when she matures into a sexually matured bird. Nature decides the actual age but can safely say 5 months +. Some females never go brown if there's no chance to reproduce (they have some control).

Emelia is over a year old and as far as I can remember has never had dark brown cere, at the moment it’s kinda tan but thats it.
I am not worried but am honestly curious if it’s normal.
