Hello, how often should a Dutch Frill be fed? Like people?three square meals a day?peace.

@finchly would know better if this type of canary has some special requirements, however canaries should usually have some form of food all day long.

I give Mel free access to the dry food, and I offer fruit and greens in the morning and squash/root veggies in the evening. The trouble with the wet/fresh is pulling it before it sits too long, so whatever your schedule allows for that will be fine.

Some people free feed and some do meals, either one is acceptable. I was out on our boat one day and we had momentary motor trouble (in the Gulf of Mexico) and the first thing that went through my head was visualizing all the birds’ food and drink containers. Lol
So now they always have at least some, but I feed meals sprouts and chop in the morning and dry food evening.
