Favorite Finch Snacks

The wonderful seed mix is a favorite for Piper and Reba. Not so much interest in the fruits and vegetables category. Without a finch cam, no favorites?


Not sure what the girls like, and have tried combinations of the on a small dish on the bottom of the cage:

Ground, hard-boiled egg
Wheat bread pieces
Wheat bread w/ milk
Organic honey
Apple- skinless pieces
Banana pieces
Old fashioned oatmeal
Spinach (very small amounts)
Green lettuce

No particular interest in any snacks that I've noticed.

No commercial wheat bread please, and definitely no milk (they lack the ability to digest it)

Try some very finely ground broccoli
cooked sweet potato, mashed
chopped kale, mine love kale

Also I have one cage where they won't touch it on the bottom of cage, but if I put it up in their seed feeder they'll eat it.
