I just love that sound the babies make

Yesterday I saw the young dove come over behind one of the parents. Today, I was just here catching up on AA with my back to the door and I heard the shell hit the floor, I look and see a dove sitting on the bar and the shell on the floor.

They scuttled behind the plant when I went to take a pic...

Ugh I was waiting with the camera but went out to sort the ants and she came with the other half!

Let's see if there's another egg... I'll wait with the camera this time...

Still no sign of the other pieces. I think these two are not from the same egg, so there should be the other two halves.

I can just see mums butt in the air tending to the little ones. Looks like it´s gonna rain... we shall see....

I have been out for a few hours and just found this.. I have to go out (to buy their food!) so maybe they'll bring more while I'm away

Yes. If I am sat here I see them come with the shells in their beaks, they sit a minute looking around, then drop it. Hard to get videos because by the time I see them with the shell in, they have dropped it when I get the camera

Dad must have visited this morning to drop off new shells. I missed him here because I had the shutter down all morning (forgot to lift it).

Two babies have hatched ....now I just need to get the binoculars out and find them...

That's exciting! We've had babies in the rhododendrons right outside my back door and in a small wren house hung on a shepherd hook, cardinals and wrens. Go figure. I thought they would swoop at us coming too close to the nest, but for some reason that never happened.

My mum back in the UK has a big rhododendron near her conservatory door and she also had babies in the summer! She said they were a small noisy bird, not sure what they were.

My eggshells are doves. They bring them to me all the time. I will try find the other thread and merge this to that one..

That was my partners theory.. seems to be the case, they always bring them
