Egg broken inside

Hey guys, we took our sweet cockatiel (17 years old) to the vet since she wasnt feeling really well and we realised she has a broken egg inside her. The vet told us to massage her with a chamomile solution and apply vaseline on her duct. I'm afraid this won't be enough though and she might have a serious infection and eventually die, what can we do to help her?

Did the vet not offer to house her there so they could monitor her while they extract it?

No he didn't, he told us the egg shells will be removed while she poops, but we haven't seen anything so far. He's the only vet relatively near us who specialises in avian pathology

Sometimes they cannot pass them on their own. I would call back and let them know she's not passing it as she can.

Did they give any antibiotics or anything? I would be concerned about peritonitis.

If you tell us where you are, we might be able to find a avian vet in area?

I don't live in the US, I'm in Greece. I've called a few vet clinics, but they only take cats/dogs and told me to contact the vet im going to right now :/
