Hi, just making sure.....there is nothing harmful bout using air conditioners round birds. Well u cant have ceiling fans on! And in Australia its getting really swealtering now.
What do u guys do?

Air conditioning in itself is fine. What you need to avoid is blowing the cold air directly on the bird and creating a draft. Make sure it's not pointed directly at the cage.

I agree..I use my central air in the summer and my birds do just fine.

Yes, never put a bird directly in front of a vent, for the winter as well. You shouldn't have them in front of a window either. I just look at it this way, if your cold your bird probably is too or if your hot so is your bird. Don’t make it too cold with the air conditioning, that will cause some problems. There's never a dumb question. You just want them to feel comfortable.:hug8:

No question is dumb. We have our central air on all summer. I just cover the vent in the birdroom so there is no cold air blowing around.
